RQA - Collaboration Agreements

RQA Collaboration Agreements

RQA International QA Conferences present a golden opportunity to meet with other QA membership organisations and discuss matters common to both parties.

Collaboration is always high on the agenda; RQA has several initiatives in the pipeline, with many more under discussion.

We took the opportunity to renew our Collaboration Agreement with:

  • JSQA (Japanese Society of Quality Assurance). The JSQA President, Yoshinobu Hirayama, and RQA Chair, Tim Stiles, signed an updated Agreement.
  • DARQA (Dutch Association of Research Quality Assurance). The DARQA Chair, Eveline Krijger, and the RQA Chair, Tim Stiles, signed an updated Agreement.

Both agreements open doors to the exploration of future collaborations.

This year, we focussed some of our discussions towards facilitating the collaborations—making it easier for RQA Committees to connect with collaborative partners directly and chat, share, and meet regularly.

Accordingly, during the conference, at a tripartite meeting between JSQA and RQA, Addendums to the Collaboration Agreement were signed between:

  • The leader of the JSQA GCP Global Team, Takahiro Hanai, and the RQA GCP Committee Chair, Rosemarie Corrigan.
  • The chairperson of the JSQA GLP Division, Hideki Maeta, and the representative of the RQA GLP Committee, Shona Ross, on behalf of Lisa Heely, GLP Committee Chair.
  • The leader of the JSQA PV Global Team, Yoshiya Aze, and the RQA PV Committee Chair, Jana Hyankova.

At the International Meeting of Societies, attended by eight QA membership organisations, the attendees agreed to meet quarterly instead of once or twice each year as we do presently. Certainly, the discussion, especially around the challenges we all face, was lively and constructive.
